When my now Husband asked me to marry him I was so excited not just because I was going to marry the man of dreams but because I knew exactly who was going to be my wedding photographer. I had my heart set on Shaun Rose well before any proposal. Two Days After Mitchell popped the question I emailed Shaun to check his availability for 2015 (very crucial to get in early with such a popular local photographer like Shaun). There was one catch to our wedding: it was being held in Bali. I remember thinking, what if he doesn’t want to go to Bali, what will I do, but I received a very excited response from Shaun and from there we locked in a date. I met with Shaun on a few occasions before the wedding to make sure all the details were finalised, this was a fantastic way to put any concerns I had to rest and grab some great advice about how the day normally unfolds.

On our wedding day Shaun’s magic began just after breakfast, anyone who knows how Shaun works knows that he starts at the crack of dawn and doesn’t finish snapping away until the newly weds go to sleep. It was evident that Shaun is well trained in knowing how to capture the most genuine moments, its like he isn’t even there. His time management is impeccable; he knew when to go from photographing the girls to the boys in order to capture all the beautiful preparation moments. Then there’s that moment, and I’m sure all women can relate, the moment when you walk down the aisle and you see you’re soon to be husbands face, and you hope to god that, that moment has been captured so you can savour it forever. Well it is safe to say that Shaun is a genius at capturing that incredible moment. Throughout the evening Shaun worked his magic, it was like he was a guest at our wedding, nothing was too formal, or too staged, he made the whole experience so much fun. We laughed and danced the night away. I know that the reality of the photos he captures has a lot to do with the fact that his skills are second to none.

The feedback we received about our wedding from friends, family, acquaintances and even strangers was overwhelmingly positive, this is a credit to Shaun and all the work he puts in to making a fairy-tale come true. Kelsee Anick
